PHC's Objectives


PHC’s main objective is to explore practical ways that will enable it to resolve the housing problem in the Palestinian Territories. Since PHC is a non profit organization, it has set out a number of objectives, the most important of which can be summed up as follows:

  • Research the housing problem and put forth studies and mechanisms needed to resolve this problem.
  • Participate with concerned parties to set up a Palestinian housing national strategy
  • Set up housing projects by employing modern techniques taking into account the reservation of the religious, social and cultural features of Palestine.
  • Participate in designing and implementing renovation and maintenance of buildings and provide loans for this purpose.
  • Participate in urban and rural development programs as well as Palestinian neighborhoods by designing plans and secure the budgets for this purpose
  • Participate in setting up loan housing bank that can provide loans for individuals or groups to constrict buildings
  • Encourage the private sector to invest in housing projects in accordance with scientific standards.
  • Brief the international community and the competent institutions on the status of housing in Palestine and urge them to provide support in this regard.
  • Obtain loans or donations from Arab and international parties to support its housing programs
  • Cooperate with local and international and international organizations in order to develop and modernize the housing sector in Palestine
  • Assist local housing societies to implement their own housing programs
  • Build housing units in the West Bank and Gaza for people of low and medium income and market these units in accordance with a sales system or in monthly and reasonable installments with varies options.
  • Encourage individual construction in rural areas and in cities by providing loan tern credit.
  • Support the housing issue in all its levels in the city of Jerusalem ( al Wuds Asharif)
